Meet Cece
Cece was born on Christmas Day 2019 and was transferred to the NICU at CHEO within two hours. Her parents, Courteney and Luis, had prepared for the challenges ahead, connecting with genetic counseling and Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice (RNCH) for perinatal hospice care. Against all odds, Cece showed incredible resilience. After receiving training from RNCH her family was able to bring her home. CHEO’s Complex Care team and numerous specialists have been part of Cece’s care since then. Known for her social nature, and love for school, Cece is a joyful five-year-old who leaves a lasting impact wherever she goes.
