Charlotte loves sparkle, playing board games, and having fun! But one year ago, her parents were alarmed when Charlotte became listless and withdrawn. She had no appetite and was too weak to play with her brother or even climb the stairs. Her parents needed answers! CHEO’s medical experts went to work and discovered Charlotte has a very rare autoimmune disease, juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM). Equipped with information, a treatment plan, and a dedicated care team, this six-year-old is getting back to the business of being a kid and is ready for a re-do of last summer!
